Campaign Finance Reports:

CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2009 has made significant changes to the Massachusetts Campaign Finance Law, MGL Chapter 55.

MGL Chapter 55, Section 26, in effect on January 1, 2010, now requires local election officials to post on the municipal Web site "all campaign finance reports required to be filed with the city or town clerk if more than $1,000 in receipts, expenditures or liabilities are disclosed in a reporting period."

These reports and reports for political campaigns with under $1,000 in activity, are filed in the Town Clerk's Office and are available to the public. Results will remain available on the Town's website for six years after the election.
