CPC Articles for Town Meeting

Several questions had been raised regarding the projects that had been approved to go forward to Town Meeting.  One was the Mobi-Mat proposal for the beaches.  Since “Mobi-Mat” is a trade name, the Article will be revised to read “Handicap Mats.”  Paul Wisotzky suggested adding Habitat’s success record in Truro in the comment section of the Article for acquisition of land for Habitat for Humanity.  Mary rose also noted that the Truro Meeting House needs to have the Preservation Restriction in place to receive funds provided the Article is passed by Town meeting.  This will be built into their agreement.   Mary Rogers will contact Fred Gaechter of the Conservation Trust to request that they specify as clearly as possible what the $40,000 grant money would be used for in the purchase of the Edgewood Farm lots to be kept in Open Space with walking trails.

Robert Lowe moved to approve the Administrative percentage for the Town Meeting Warrant.  Petterson seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.

Update of CPC Plan

CPC members examined a February 2015 draft update of the CPC Plan.   Jane Petterson reported to the Committee on the Snow’s Field walking trail.

Coalition Dues

Lisa moved to approve the expenditure from Administrative Funds of $1,750 for membership the Community Preservation Coalition.  Bob seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.

Agenda for the Next Meeting

Agenda for the March 13, 2015 meeting will include: Warrant Articles and the 2015 CPC Plan.
