Minutes of Meeting of April 10, 2015

Truro Town Hall

 

 

Members Present:  Mary Rose, Acting Chair; Robert Lowe, Jane Petterson, Lisa Maria Tobia, Richard Larkin, Bonnie Sollog

Regrets:  William Golden, Maureen Cronin,                                     

 

Acting Chair Mary Rose called the meeting to order at 4:20 p.m. 

 

Minutes

Richard moved to approve the minutes of February 13, 2015.  Lisa seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.

Warrant Articles

Committee members discussed the final Articles that appear in the Annual Town Meeting Warrant.  The Historic Preservation Restriction for the Truro Meeting House needs to be in place before the final payments for the project.

 

Deborah McCutcheon had presented the Articles to the Selectmen with Town Counsel’s opinion on which ones were legal.   Town Counsel considered the Beach Access Mats legal as a Recreation project.  According to Town Counsel the proposal for conceptual drawings for the Highland House Museum restoration was not legal and removed from the Articles going forward to Annual Town Meeting.

Pre-town Meeting & Town Meeting

Mary Rose will be at the Pre-Town Meeting April 21, 2015 at the Community Center, and she will present the Articles at Annual Town Meeting, April 28, 2015 at the Elementary School.

Discussion of Historical Society’s Request for Repurposing

Mary Rose discussed the request for repurposing money for software that is needed for archiving material.  Richard Larkin said that the Historical Society is still planning spending remaining funds on renovations for the Cobb Library. 

CPC Plan

Mary Rose and Mary Rogers had made further updates to the 2015 CPC Plan.  It will be completed after Annual Town Meeting and include the Fiscal Year 2016 projects.

Agenda for Next Meeting

Agenda for the next meeting May 15, 2015 will include: approval letters, grant agreements and finalization of the CPC Plan.

Larkin moved to adjourn.  Sollog seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:54 p.m.
