Public Safety Advisory – Long Nook Beach in Truro is CLOSED
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, April 5, 2024 – Truro public officials have closed the access area to Long Nook Beach this morning due to a dangerously steep and eroding coastal bank. The top edge of the bank has been slumping and presents an immediate danger to pedestrians coming too close to the top of the bank.
The entire parking area has been temporarily closed until the bank grade improves. Members of the public are warned not to visit the site or attempt to reach the beach at all from this location.
This area will remain closed until safety concerns are alleviated. Town officials will evaluate weekly and will provide updates as the situation changes.
