Minutes of Meeting of June 12, 2015

Members Present:  Mary Rose, Acting Chair; Maureen Cronin, Robert Lowe, Deborah McCutcheon,  Jane Petterson, Lisa Maria Tobia, Richard Larkin, Bonnie Sollog

Chair Deborah McCutcheon called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m. 

Minutes

Robert Lowe moved to approve the minutes of April 10, 2015.  Mary Rose seconded, and the motion carried 8-0.

Letters & Agreements for Projects

Each project that had been approved at Town Meeting needed a follow-up letter and agreement to be signed before funds are released.  Deborah McCutcheon explained the process, and members agreed to continue with two members monitoring each project.  The monitors will be Maureen Cronin and Robert Lowe for the Congregational Meeting House; Mary Rose and Lisa Tobia for Habitat for Humanity’s land acquisition; Bonnie Sollog and Jane Petterson for the handicap beach mats; and Richard Larkin and Mary Rose for the conservation restriction for open space with the Conservation Trust.

Plan Update

The Plan update will be e-mailed and reviewed one more time before being released.

Membership

Everyone present plans on continuing with the CPC.  Deborah McCutcheon will speak to Bill Golden about his position as Open Space representative.  She also suggested reorganizing the committee with co-chairs. 

Lisa Tobia moved to name Mary Rose and Deborah McCutcheon co-chairs of CPC. Bonnie Sollog seconded, and the motion carried 8-0.

Lowe moved to officially thank Mary Rose for her service as Acting Chair. Tobias seconded.  The motion was approved unanimously.  There will also be a social event to thank her.

Members agreed that meetings will continue on the second Friday of each month, excepting summer, at 4:14 p.m.

Other Concerns

Mary Rose discussed a potential Housing purchase that would require a bond. 

Richard Larkin thanked those who had attended the Cobb Library open house.  He also said he would be at the Historical Commission’s meeting about the Historical Preservation Restriction for the Friends of the Congregational Meeting House.

Larkin said the Historical Society would like to discuss repurposing of funds from a previous grant. 

Agenda for Next Meeting

Agenda for the next meeting September 11, 2015 will include updates on projects and  repurposing of Historical Society funds from a previous grant.

The meeting was adjourned by consensus at 5:00 p.m.
