Existing Project Concerns/Updates

Maureen Cronin reported on Habitat drywall and decks.  They are on target to finish the three houses in August.  Cape Cod Village had sent an update of progress on their Orleans site.  The Summer Concerts are now being held at the Library yard, so CPC members wanted to know about the Community Preservation funds allotted to the Snow’s Park/Town Green project.  Rex McKinsey gave an update on Puma Park’s reopening.   He commented on the safety issues at both Puma Park and Snow’s Park, which he considered as a possible location for the Summer Concerts.  CPC members discussed communications between the Administration and townspeople about CPA projects that have been approved at Town Meeting but later abandoned by the Town.

Discussion of State CPA Trust Fund Efforts

The Community Preservation Coalition urged committees to contact State Representatives to vote to adequately budget for the Community Preservation Trust Fund to ensure a state match better than 11% next year.  Mary Rogers said she had contacted Representative Sarah Peake, who promised to co-sponsor the bill.
