Minutes of Meeting of September 8, 2017
Truro Town Hall

Present: Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon, Co-Chair Mary Rose; Maureen Cronin, Robert Lowe, Jane Petterson

Regrets: Peter Herridge, Richard Larkin, Rex McKinsey, Bonnie Sollog

Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon called the meeting to order at 4:40 p.m.

Minutes

Robert Lowe moved to approve the minutes of June 16, 2017.  Jane Petterson seconded, and the motion carried 5-0.

Cape Cod Village Agreement

Chair Deborah McCutcheon will correct language in the Cape Cod Village agreement before the October 13, 2017 CPC meeting and have the Committee ratify it. 

The other outstanding agreement is for Edgewood Farm.  Deborah McCutcheon will forward material on this to the next meeting. 

Anticipated Projects

There are a few applications expected for the November 1, 2017 deadline.  The Eastham Affordable Housing off Bracket Rd., which is owned by the Town and got ZBA approval; an additional request from Habitat; and the next phase for the Highland House Museum.  Maureen Cronin asked about the role of CPC members in helping prepare applications.  She also asked about linking trails in the National Seashore. 

Existing Project Concerns

Mary Rogers said that Trudi Brazil had completed the CP1 and CP2 reports and she had completed the CP3 reports with the Department of Revenue.

Discussion – Meeting with Board of Selectmen

The Selectmen will be invited to a Community Preservation Committee meeting. Maureen Cronin will prepare a report on towns that have diminished CPA committees.

Announcements

Mary Rogers announced two events: the Truro Conservation Trust’s Trail Opening Ceremony, on Wednesday, September 13 at 2 p.m. and Steamroller Printmaking, a free event at Edgewood Farm, Saturday, September 16 from 11 to 2.

Agenda for Next Meeting
The next meeting agenda will include: Cape Cod Village, Edgewood Farm Pres., Reports, Concerns, Poor’s Hill, conflict of interest and other Anticipated Projects.

Adjournment

Jane Petterson moved to adjourn.   Mary Rose seconded, and the motion carried 5-0. 

The meeting was adjourned at 5:20 p.m.
