Minutes of Meeting of June 16, 2017

Present: Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon, Co-Chair Mary Rose; Maureen Cronin, Bonnie Sollog, Peter Herridge, Richard Larkin, Robert Lowe, Jane Petterson
Absent: Rex McKinsey

Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon called the meeting to order at 4:16 p.m.

Minutes of 5/12/17
Richard Larkin moved to approve the minutes of May 12, 2017.  Robert Lowe seconded, and the motion carried 8-0.

Letters and Agreements for Fiscal Year 2018
CPC members examined the letters and agreements to recipients of CPA grants for FY18.  Deborah McCutcheon explained some language adjustments.  Monitors will be in charge the agreements to which they were assigned.

Existing Project Concerns
Richard Larkin and Bonnie Sollog explained an issue that surrounded the planned accessibility improvements for the Town Green/Snow’s Park.  There will be another Conservation Commission meeting on Monday, July 3, 2017. 

Robert Lowe said that the Friends of the Truro Meeting House have come up short $6,100 for the installation of the restored Paul Revere foundry bell.  He asked if there was a contingency built into the grant agreement for the bell.  Deborah McCutcheon said there was no contingency money in the grant.  She asked about the fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Meeting House. Robert Lowe will bring this up at the next meeting of the Friends. 

The Committee addressed some concerns for earlier projects. Robert Lowe said he had been brought up to date with activity at the Highland House Museum.  He reported on possible future plans for Poor’s Hill.  Maureen Cronin asked about helping potential applicants during the summer months. 

Meeting with the Board of Selectmen
The Truro Board of Selectmen have indicated that they would like to meet with the CPC before August 30, 2017.  Deborah McCutcheon will invite them to the next Community Preservation meeting on September 8, 2017. 

Adjournment
Richard Larkin moved to adjourn.  Peter Herridge seconded, and the motion carried 8-0. 

The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
