Minutes of Meeting of September 9, 2016

Truro Town Hall

 

Members Present: Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon, Co-Chair Mary Rose; Maureen Cronin, Robert Lowe, Bonnie Sollog

Regrets: Lisa Maria Tobia

Also Present:  Eric Mays, Jane Petterson

Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

Minutes

Robert Lowe moved to approve the amended minutes of May 13, 2016.  Maureen Cronin seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.   

Membership

Members who needed reappointments to their basic boards or committees had been approved and sworn in. Eric Mays will be joining the Recreation Committee and become its CPC representative.  Jane Petterson will be applying to become a member of the Open Space Committee and rejoin CPC as the Open Space representative. 

Application Deadline for FY2018 Projects

Deadline for new projects is Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.  Anticipated Applications include a second phase for the Highland House Museum and Castle Hill with another application for Edgewood Farm.  Robert Lowe said there is a need for a trail up to the top of Poor’s Hill and will encourage the Open Space Committee to bring forth a proposal.  There should be a design by a landscape architect presented.  Use of administrative money is allowed for this. 

Updates on FY17 

Richard Larkin gave an update on the Town Green project.  Robert Lowe said the Meeting House’s Revere Foundry bell has been taken down and should be finished by December.  Mary Rose said the RFP went out for the technical consultant for Housing.  Interviews will take place once the applications are in.  Richard Larkin said that Highland House Museum was moving forward with the plans but had further covenants to negotiate with the National Seashore. 

Agenda for Next Meeting

Agenda for the October 14, 2016 meeting will include membership and expected applications.

Meeting Schedule

CPC members planned the schedule for November 4, 2016. December 9, 2016.

Adjournment

Mary Rose moved to adjourn.  Robert Lowe seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
