Truro Community Preservation Committee

Minutes of Meeting of May 13, 2016

Truro Town Hall

Members Present:  Co-Chair Mary Rose; Maureen Cronin, Richard Larkin, Robert Lowe

Regrets: Deborah McCutcheon, Bonnie Sollog, Lisa Maria Tobia

Co-Chair Mary Rose called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

Minutes of 4/8/16

Robert Lowe moved to approve the minutes of April 8, 2016.  Maureen Cronin seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.

Assignments for Monitoring Projects

Bonnie Sollog and Richard Larkin will be monitors for the Snow’s Park/Town Green ADA Access project.  Robert Lowe and Maureen Cronin will monitor the Revere Foundry Bell, Deborah McCutcheon and Mary Rose will be in charge of the Edgewood Farm Historic Building Restoration. Deborah McCutcheon and Robert Lowe will monitor the Highland House Museum Phase 1, and Mary Rose and Lisa Tobia will handle the Affordable Housing Technical Assistant.

Summer Outreach

Maureen Cronin said that the Recreation Committee would be interested in developing a longitudinal park around the Library and Community Center that would connect to Sally’s Way.  She will encourage the Recreation Committee to work with the Disabilities Commission and Council on Aging in working on an application.  There is also a possibility that the Cape Cod Village effort for community housing for autistic adults will be submitting an application.  The Christian Union Church might be interested in some historic restoration.  Robert Lowe said that there was a need for another trail at Poor’s Hill. 

Committee Organization

Richard Larkin moved that Deborah McCutcheon continue as Chair and Robert Lowe seconded. The motion carried 4-0.

Richard Larkin moved that Mary Rose continue as Co-Chair and Robert Lowe seconded.  The motion carried 4-0.

CPC needs representatives from Open Space and Recreation.  The Selectmen need to name a liaison from their Board. 

Next Meeting

The Committee will not be meeting during the summer months unless there is a need to do so.  The next meeting will be held September 9, 2016.

Adjournment

Richard Larkin moved to adjourn.  Robert Lowe seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
