CPC welcomed new member Jim Summers, who is now the representative from the Historical Commission, and thanked Richard Larkin for his years of service to the Committee.

CPA Warrant Article for Annual Town Meeting

Mary Rose said she will be presenting the CPA Article at Annual Town Meeting on September 26, 2020.  CPC members asked what would happen if the Article were removed from the Warrant in the interest of streamlining the time as a Covid-19 precaution for this Town Meeting.  Susan Howe read into record an e-mail request from Joan Holt requesting that the CPA Article not be presented since certain sections could initiate lengthy debates.  Jim Summers said he expects the proponents for the CPA projects will be present to speak up for their sections of the Article.  Mary Rose said the CPA Article is in the Warrant that is being printed for Town Meeting.

Project Updates

There were no reports on any projects that are currently underway.  Jim Summers will assume the monitoring assignments held by Richard Larkin.  The deadline for new projects will be publicized as November 2 since November 1, 2020 falls on a Sunday.
