Out-of-School-Time Program

Children by monumentMission

It is the mission of the Recreation Department's Out of School Time Program to create recreational opportunities for growth and enhancement by developing diverse services and programs that promote citizen involvement and a strong sense of community while striving to increase the social, cultural, and physical well-being of its participants. The Truro Recreation Department strives to provide quality, affordable programming for residents and visitors to the Town of Truro that meets a wide array of community needs and interests. We aim to provide programming that targets all populations within the Town of Truro.

Description

This program will emphasize project-based learning, academic support, social and emotional development, along with creativity and active exploration. It aims to foster both intellectual growth and personal development in a dynamic, engaging environment. This is achieved through various hands-on experiences that will nurture curiosity and community, such as homework, playtime, nature exploration, gardening, and much more!
