Truro Council on Aging

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm 

Food Programs for Truro Residents 60+ 

  • Shopping/Errand Day: Third Monday of the Month. Bus leaves the COA at 9:00 am and returns at 1:00 pm. Please call to register 508-487-2462.
  • Food Deliveries: As needed, on Wednesday. 
  • $7 Community Meal: Thursday 12:00 - 1:30 pm, deliverable for homebound seniors. 
  • Meals on Wheels Referrals: Call Georgette at the Truro COA: 508-413-9508

Eligibility: For Truro residents 60+. Pre-registration is required for several food programs, call 508-487-2462 to register.

Truro Pantry: Lower Cape Outreach Council

Food Pantry Hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10:00 am - 12:30 pm; Thursdays 4:00 - 6:00 pm.

Foods to Encourage Program: 2nd Wednesday 10:00 - 11:30 am. No cost blood pressure and glucose check with pop-up food nutrition education. Receive a bag of fresh fruits and vegetables upon attendance.

Eligibility: Open to the public. General information and registration will occur when you walk in for your first visit (self-reporting only; no citizenship or other paperwork needed).

Library Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays 10::00 am - 8:00 pm; Wednesday & Friday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Community fridge filled with free, fresh, uncut produce for anyone to drop off or take food.

To be eligible, participants must have an active Massachusetts SNAP card that has received benefits in the last 60 days and live in Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet or Eastham.
