Tax Payment Options

A friendly reminder that the first half of real estate and personal property tax bills are due Wednesday, November 26 by 4:00 pm.

You can pay bills in several ways:

Electronic Payment via ePay

As of February 2022, the Town of Truro offers online payments through City Hall Systems.

Payments can also be made via eCheck (ACH) for free.

Credit or debit cards may be used for payments for a fee of 2.95% of the total payment (minimum $1). Payments are accepted for:

  • Boat Excise
  • Personal Property Tax
  • Real Estate Property Tax
  • Vehicle Excise Tax

Tax bills can now be paid 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round. Late bills will have interest and fees added automatically, allowing for quick and easy payment anytime to resolve past-due taxes.

Taxpayers may register for an account with City Hall Systems and choose to receive an email notification of their bill, which will take effect with the next billing cycle.

Online features also include a single shopping cart for multiple bill types, as well as the option to view and print original bill copies for the current or past fiscal year. The online payment vendor, City Hall Systems, provides a top-notch customer service team should taxpayers have any online payment questions or wish to make a payment by phone. Other Options

Payments may also be made:

  • In person at the Tax Collector's office by cash, check, or money order during regular business hours (Tuesday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Note: Town offices are closed to the public on Mondays but available by phone or email).
  • In the drop box outside the Town Hall entrance, where payments can be left at any time.
  • By mail before the due date to our lockbox processor (Town of Truro, P.O. Box 853, Reading, MA 01867-0407) using the provided payment coupon and envelope.
  • After the due date, please send payments directly to the office at Town of Truro, P.O. Box 2012, Truro, MA 02666-2012.
  • If payments are being made using online bill-pay through your own bank, please use the Town Hall address of P.O. Box 2012, Truro, MA 02666-2012.

Payments are due in the Tax Collector's office on or before the due date. Postmarks are not accepted.
