Climate Action Committee

Overview

The Climate Action Committee's primary focus is to investigate, study, and make recommendations to the select board on the following; the carbon footprint of all town-owned facilities and equipment; methods for minimizing the town's carbon footprint; the town's vulnerabilities to the consequences of climate change; and methods for minimizing the town's vulnerabilities to the consequences of climate change.

The CAC will also maintain communications with the Truro Energy Committee and other climate committees in Barnstable Country and with the state commissions to ensure that Truro works effectively with a wider community in achieving the town's goals.
