My Favorite Place in Truro is…

The Local Comprehensive Planning Committee had a fantastic turnout for its visioning workshop on October 15, 2022. Over 70 people participated in the community forum, held in person at the Community Center, to help develop visions and goals for the town’s future. Led by LCPC Chair, Mara Glatzel, and assisted by Tighe & Bond Planning Consultant, Sharon Rooney, participants were invited to voice and share their ideas, hopes, and priorities for the Town of Truro. Attendees were able to review input from Truro Central School students, in the form of posters highlighting what they love about the town. Bagels and coffee were generously provided by Bagel Hound.

“The members of the LCPC were thrilled to host such a well-attended and positive conversation about our love and hopes for Truro's future,” said chair, Mara Glatzel. “We are currently hard at work taking the data that was shared during that event and drafting the LCP vision and goals statement, as well as determining next steps for outreach and community engagement.”
