Position Opening(s):
 
TRURO TOWN HALL:
• Position Available: Collector of Taxes/Assistant Treasurer •
Description: Provide skilled administrative and clerical work in the Treasurer/Collector office. The Principal Collector/Assistant Treasurer is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under their direction and control.
Salary Range: $69,575 - $90,780. 40 hours per week. Non-union.
Plus $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS.
Bonus Fine Print: The bonus will be awarded as a stipend in the amount of $3,000 and shall be paid in three (3) installments: $1,000 will be paid in the pay period following the employee’s date of hire; $1,000 will be paid in the pay period following the successful completion of the sixth month of probation; and $1,000 will be paid upon successful completion of the one-year probationary period.

TRURO FIRE DEPARTMENT:

• Position Available: Firefighters/Paramedic •
Description: Union position. Valid Driver's License, satisfactory driving record, and valid paramedic certification required. Firefighter I/II Pro-Board certification preferred. 
Salary Range: 
Hourly Range: $30.41- $39.68, depending on qualifications. Rotational 24-hour shift schedule, plus $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS.
Bonus Fine Print: The bonus will be awarded as a stipend in the amount of $3,000 and shall be paid in three (3) installments: $1,000 will be paid in the pay period following the employee’s date of hire; $1,000 will be paid in the pay period following the successful completion of the sixth month of probation; and $1,000 will be paid upon successful completion of the one-year probationary period.

COUNCIL ON AGING:
 
• Position Available: Council on Aging Outreach and Resource Coordinator •
Description: Perform social service and administrative work in maintaining contact with the town’s seniors and vulnerable community members to assess their needs, encourage participation in group activities, and make referrals as necessary. Develop and implement programs for seniors. Advocate for the needs of seniors and assist in identifying or providing resources to meet those needs. Performs all other related duties as required. Schedule is 40 hours/week, typically, 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with evening and weekend work as required. FLSA-Non-Exempt.
Salary Range: Hourly $30.41-39.68; Salary Range (40 hours) $63,250- $82,527, starting pay depending on qualifications, plus $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS.
Bonus Fine Print: $2,500 bonus to be paid in three (3) installments: $1,000 will be paid in the pay period following the employee’s date of hire; $500 will be paid in the pay period following the successful completion of the sixth month of probation; and $1,000 will be paid upon successful completion of the one-year probationary period.

• Position Available: Community Services Department - Office Assistant •
Description: Responsible for greeting the public, providing information and performing administrative, clerical and record keeping work to assist the Community Services Director. Performs all other related work as required. Schedule is 35 hours/week, year-round. 
Salary Range: Hourly $23.80 - $31.05, starting pay depending on qualifications, plus $2,500 SIGN-ON BONUS.
Bonus Fine Print: $2,500 bonus to be paid in three (3) installments: $1,000 will be paid in the pay period following the employee’s date of hire; $500 will be paid in the pay period following the successful completion of the sixth month of probation; and $1,000 will be paid upon successful completion of the one-year probationary period.

• Position Available: Council on Aging - Driver •
Description: Provide transportation for Truro senior residents and individuals with disabilities aged 18-59 primarily for medical appointments, shopping, errands and social activities; performs all other related work as required. 19 hours per week, permanent part-time & on-call positions available. 
Salary Range: Hourly $24.99 - $32.60, starting pay depending on qualifications.

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS:
• Position Available: Department of Public Works - Truck Driver • (TWO OPENINGS)
Description: Perform a variety of routine and repetitive tasks as a member of the crew on assigned location; manual work assisting in construction, maintenance or repair projects; operates a variety of light and heavy motor equipment; performs all other related work as required. 40 hours per week, year-round, union position.
Salary Range: Hourly $27.63 - $29.84 based on experience and additional licenses, plus benefits package. Truro is EOE.
Special Requirements: Massachusetts C.D.L. Class A License with Air Brake Endorsement (Required) Possession of a MA Class 2A, 1C, Hoisting License (Required) Per C.D.L requirements must pass drug and alcohol screening.

• Position Available: Department of Public Works - Assistant Transfer Station Attendant/Assistant Custodian •
Description: Controls traffic flow, verifies that patrons have permit access to Transfer Station and directs patrons to areas for disposal; maintains Transfer Station area; ensures safety of patrons and equipment; enforces rules and regulations by watching activities of those using Transfer Station; performs similar or relevant work as required. Cleans and maintains all town-owned buildings and grounds from November 1 through May 1. 
Salary Range: Hourly $26.00 – $28.00 based on experience and additional licenses, plus an excellent benefits package. Truro is EOE.
Special Requirements: High School Diploma required. Preferred: Class A Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement and Class 2A/1C Hoisting License.
