VOTER REGISTRATION: LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE FOR ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION April 6, 2022 at 8:00 PM

Registering to Vote/How to become a Voter:

To be eligible to register to vote in Massachusetts you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Massachusetts, and 18 years old on or before the next election.

You may register to vote in person with the Town Clerk, at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, at a number of state agencies or on-line by clicking here

To register to vote online you can click here. You can also use the Online Voter Registration System to change your name for voting purposes, change your address for voting purposes or to change your political party.

Annual Town Election - May 10, 2022 - polls open 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Deadline to Register - April 6, 2022, Clerk's office will be open until 8:00 PM, online registration open up until 11:59 PM at the Massachusetts Secretary of State's Website (link and QR code above).

State Primary - September 6, 2022 - polls open 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Deadline to Register - August 17, 2022, Clerk's office will be open until 8:00 PM, online registration open up until 11:59 PM at the Massachusetts Secretary of State's Website (link and QR code above).

State Election - November 8, 2022 - polls open 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Deadline to Register - October 19, 2022, Clerk's office will be open until 8:00 PM, online registration open up until 11:59 PM at the Massachusetts Secretary of State's Website (link and QR code above).

Absentee Voting:

To obtain an application for absentee ballots please visit English-Absentee-Ballot-Application (state.ma.us). Applications may be sent by mail to the Town Clerk's Office or dropped off in the Official Ballot Drop Box that will be located in the front of Truro Town Hall. Applications may also be submitted electronically by fax to 508-349-5505 or e-mail to kfullerton@truro-ma.gov as long as your signature is visible. Mailed Ballots must be requested in writing at least 4 business days before Election Day. Applications must be received by 12:00 PM the day prior to Election Day for in-person Absentee voting at the Town Clerk's office.

Absentee ballots can only be requested by persons who will be out-of-town on Election Day, those unable to vote on Election Day due to illness, and those unable to vote on Election Day for religious reasons.

Ballots need to be returned to the Clerk's Office on Election Day or before.
