OUT-OF-SCHOOL PROGRAM

 

Position Available: Program Leader for Out-of-School Program

Description: Year-round, full-time, or part-time positions available. Full-time positions typically 35 hours per week, September to June, 40 hours per week, June through August. Part-time positions typically 20 hours per week with potential for additional hours. Weekday hours, with occasional evenings or weekends hours for special events / meetings. Incumbent required to work during program hours. Non-union, FLSA non-exempt. The purpose of this position is to provide direct care to program participants of Out-Of-School-Time Programming and other Community Sustainability Programming and to assist as needed with administrative, programming, and similar work. Provides support for other Community Services Department functions as directed. Performs all other related work as required.

 
Salary Range: Grade 2. Hourly Range: $26.38 - $34.42, plus a SIGN-ON BONUS ($2,500 for full-time, $1,500 for part-time) starting pay dependent on qualifications and experience.

Bonus Fine Print:

The bonus will be awarded to full-time incumbent as a stipend in the amount of $2,500 and shall be paid in three (3) installments:

  • $1,000 will be paid in the pay period following the employee’s date of hire.
  • $500 will be paid in the pay period following the successful completion of the sixth (6) month of probation.
  • $1,000 will be paid upon the successful completion of the one-year probationary period.

The bonus will be awarded to part-time incumbent as a stipend in the amount of $1,500 and shall be paid in three (3) installments:

  • $500 will be paid in the pay period following the employee’s date of hire.
  • $500 will be paid in the pay period following the successful completion of the sixth (6) month of probation.
  • $500 will be paid up on the successful completion of the one-year probationary period.

SUMMER REC YOUTH PROGRAM

 

Position Available: Recreation Counselor

Description: The purpose of this position is to act as a group leader responsible for school-age children participating in the summer recreation youth program, ensuring safety of all involved; performs all other related work as required. Seasonal position; June – September. Schedule is 40 hours/week, typically, 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Salary Range: Hourly $17.81 – $21.38; starting pay depending on qualifications.

Schedule is 24 hours/week, typically, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekdays and weekends.

Salary Range: Hourly $25.37 – $30.43; starting pay depending on qualifications.

BEACH OFFICE OPERATION

 

Position Available: Assistant Program Supervisor – Beach Office

Description: The purpose of this position is to assist the Deputy Community Service Director: Recreation & Beach, with the in-season daily operation of the beaches; performs all other related work as required. Seasonal position; June – September. Schedule is 40 hours/week, typically, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekdays and weekends.

Salary Range: Hourly $22.55 – $27.06; starting pay depending on qualifications.

Description: The purpose of this position is to perform general duties attending the entrance and maintaining the town beach; performs all other related work as required.  Seasonal position; June – September. Typical schedule is 32.5 hours/week, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weekdays and weekends.

Salary Range: Hourly $15.00 - $18.00; starting pay depending on qualifications.
