The Truro Council on Aging prepares for an emergency, such as severe weather, by compiling a list of community members that they believe could use assistance during an emergency. This list is called Elders of Concern. Typical members of this group live alone, are disabled, use oxygen or other special medical equipment. You can be added to this list by contacting the Truro Council on Aging at (508)413-9508. Once on this list the Truro Council of Aging or a member of Truro Public Safety will contact these individuals prior to an emergency to ensure they are properly prepared and after an emergency to ensure they are ok.
