Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

Minutes of 3/29/19

Maureen Cronin moved to approve the minutes of March 29, 2019.  Jane Petterson seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.

Town Meeting Results for CPA Articles

Deborah McCutcheon said that all the CPA Articles had passed at Town Meeting.  There was discussion of the Edgewood Farm restoration project by Castle Hill and other historic properties in Truro.   CDP did not receive CPC money through the administrative allotment, but the Housing Authority is giving them $7,500 they requested for the Cape Housing Institute. 

Letters & Agreements to Recipients

Deborah McCutcheon, Mary Rose and Mary Rogers will prepare the letters and agreements

CPC Vacancy & Membership

There are two vacancies on the Committee with the dissolution of the Recreation Committee and resignation of At-Large member Robert Lowe.  Susan Howe is interested in the position, and she is very informed about the workings of the CPC.  Deborah McCutcheon suggested changes to the membership requirements for the Community Preservation Committee to have more At-Large representatives. 

Future Bonding Possibilities

With the Cloverleaf Property Community Housing development underway and future uses of the Walsh Property being studied, Community Preservation funding is sure to be a factor.  Mary Rose described the Cloverleaf Property.  There is a community forum about the plan on Thursday, May 16, 2019.  There was a petitioned Article for real estate transfer taxes on the Town Meeting Warrant for Affordable Housing. 

Existing Project Concerns & Updates

Great Hollow Beach Extension is facing challenges over the status of the upland deed restriction of open space without tables or port-a-potties.  Peter Herridge and Bonnie Sollog will meet with the Conservation Trust and concerned parties to discuss solutions to move forward with the expansion of the beach. 

Jane Petterson will check with Susan Howe for an update on the Puma Park enhancement project. 

Consultant/Secretary’s Contract

Deborah McCutcheon and Mary Rose and Jane Petterson will do an evaluation and seek approval of Mary Rogers FY2020 contract from the CPC at the June meeting.

Next Meeting Agenda

The next CPC meeting is scheduled for June 21, 2019.

Richard Larkin moved to adjourn.  Mary Rose seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.
