The Collector of Taxes and Treasurer are charged with the responsibility to prepare tax bills, distribute them and collect
taxes and to receive other income due to the Town.

The Tax Collector's Office is located in the west wing of Town Hall.

Fiscal 2012 Tax Bills
Fiscal 2012 Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills were mailed September 23, 2011.
The first-half bill issue date is October 3, 2011 and payment is due by November 2, 2011.
The second-half issue date will be April 2, 2012 and payment will be due by May 2, 2012 (notices to be mailed March 2012).
Payments received after the due date are considered late and subject to the interest at the rate of 14% per annum from issue date until payment is made.

The Town of Truro offers three ways to pay taxes:

for additional information, to register and pay your CURRENT* tax bill(s) online.
- Easy, Convenient, and Secure
- Accessible 24 hours a day
- Use a checking or savings account, debit card or credit card
- 25 cents per ACH payment transaction (higher cost for debit & credit cards)
In some places on their site a fee of .35 is mentioned.
When you check out Truro charges only 25 cents per ACH payment.

* This service is available only during the 30 days that the most current
bill is due. Once the due date has passed, we ask that you call the Tax Collector’s Office for the most up to date figures.
