General Information

The Licensing Department consists of the Licensing Agent and the Licensing Clerk. The Department is responsible for the coordination of business license applications, renewals and issuance. This includes motel, cottage colony, campground, food service, common victualer, transient vendor and alcoholic beverage licenses among others. Septic hauler and disposal works installer applications and permits are also processed. In addition to business licenses, shell fishing permits and yard sale permits are issued. ORV permits are issued in the off-season.

The Licensing Agent oversees the Seasonal Rental Registration program (General Bylaw Chapter II, Section 1), working closely with the Beach Department and the Parking Magistrate.

The Licensing Department is always available to answer questions and guide applicants through the licensing process.

The Licensing Agent's Office is located on the first floor of Town Hall.
