Minutes of Meeting of February 17, 2017

Truro Town Hall

 

Members Present: Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon, Co-Chair Mary Rose; Maureen Cronin, Richard Larkin, Rex McKinsey, Jane Petterson,  

Absent: Robert Lowe, Bonnie Sollog, Peter Herridge,

Co-Chair Deborah McCutcheon called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

Minutes of 1/21/17

Deborah McCutcheon moved to approve the minutes of January 21, 2017.  Rex McKinsey seconded, and the motion carried 5-0.

Deed Restriction for Edgewood Farm

Deborah McCutcheon said she had reviewed the Preservation Restriction for the Edgewood Farm barn, house and studio and found discrepancies in the document, which has now gone back to Town Counsel for review. 

Warrant Articles

Town Accountant Trudi Brazil discussed repurposing additional money for Puma Park and helped rewrite the Article.

The Committee determined the order of presentation for the Town Meeting Warrant:

Section 1) Administrative Percent; Section 2) Housing Consultant; Section 3) Habitat Housing;

Section 4) Cod Village; Section 5) Highland House Museum; Section 6) Edgewood Farm; Section 7) Puma Park; Section 8) 25 & 25A Pond Rd.; and Section 9) Great Hollow Beach.

Other Concerns

Richard Larkin had concerns about early releases of the voting results from the January 21, 2017 meeting.  The Committee discussed anticipated Town Meeting reaction to CPA Articles. 

Legislative Action Committee Representative

Deborah McCutcheon moved to approve Richard Larkin as Truro’s CPA Legislative Action Committee Representative.  Mary Rose seconded, and the motion carried 5-0.

The meeting was adjourned by consensus at 5:20 p.m.
